Here we have to distinguish between students enrolled in the Bachelor program at the TUM School of Management and students enrolled in the Information Systems Bachelor program at the Department of Informatics.
For students at the TUM School of Management
If your request a confirmation of courses equivalence for courses from overseas universities, then please follow these instructions. This has to be done before going abroad. If your course can’t be recognized based on these instructions, please check point 3. and 4..
If your course is not contained in the above table, but is part of the following table, then we have to decline your request for recognition.

If none of the three cases above applies, then please check the module description of MA9712 to see if your course is equivalent. In particular your course must contain an introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics as well as probability theory. In addition you must be able to proof that you have been working with a statistical software in your course. If you think your course is equivalent to MA9712, then please send
- your grade report or certificate(s),
- relevant course outlines, and
- the completed credit transfer form,
if it is a course from a German university or otherwise
- the completed confirmation of course equivalence
to Dr. Stephan Haug. In the latter case, please include the following information in your email as a link or attachment:
- information on the course structure,
- course contents,
- learning objectives, and

For students at the Department of Informatics
Please contact the Academic Advising at your department. There you will get the correct form for your request of recognition of exams taken at other universities. You will then have to send us the completed form together with the relevant course outlines and the name of your academic student advisor. Please also take into account the tables on this web page. If your course is listed in the second table, we will not be able to recognize it.
