The TUM course, which can be replaced by recognized exam results, is

The following table contains courses that are already recognized on a 1:1 base. In some cases it is a collection of up to three courses. To proceed further, it is crucial to know if your course is included in the table.

### Steps towards recognition

Here we have to distinguish between students enrolled in the Bachelor program at the TUM School of Management and students enrolled in the Information Systems Bachelor program at the Department of Informatics.

For students at the TUM School of Management

1. If your request a confirmation of courses equivalence for courses from overseas universities, then please follow these instructions. This has to be done before going abroad. If your course can’t be recognized based on these instructions, please check point 3. and 4..

2. If your course is included in the table, then please fill out the credit transfer form and send it to Dr. Stephan Haug.

3. If your course is not contained in the above table, but is part of the following table, then we have to decline your request for recognition.

Universität Augsburg Statistik 1 WIW-0017 inferential statistics is missing
FSU Jena BM Statistik BW 30.1 inferential statistics is missing
Heinrich-Heine Universität: Statistische Methoden I BS01 inferential statistics is missing
Hochschule Offenburg Statistik NA probability theory and inferential statistics are missing
Hochschule Pforzheim Grundlagen der deskriptiven Statistik AQM1021 probability theory and inferential statistics are missing
KIT Einführung in die Statistik M-WIWI-101432 parts of probability theory and inferential statistics are missing
LMU Statistik I NA probability theory and inferential statistics are missing
TUM Diskrete Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie IN0018 descriptive statistics is missing
TUM Stochastische Signale EI0205 descriptive and inferential statistics are missing
Universität Regensburg Statistik I NA inferential statistics is missing

If none of the three cases above applies, then please check the module description of MA9712 to see if your course is equivalent. In particular your course must contain an introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics as well as probability theory. In addition you must be able to proof that you have been working with a statistical software in your course. If you think your course is equivalent to MA9712, then please send

• relevant course outlines, and
• the completed credit transfer form,

if it is a course from a German university or otherwise

to Dr. Stephan Haug. In the latter case, please include the following information in your email as a link or attachment:

• information on the course structure,
• course contents,
• learning objectives, and
• bibliography.

#### Remark: All processed requests are sent directly to the Academic Advising.
